What is the equimerio® toolset?

The equimerio® toolset is our collection of digital tools for today’s trusted family business advisor. With the toolset, you position yourself naturally as a process director. In that role, you help enterprising and/or high net worth families to gain firm and stable support for their radical choices regarding (their involvement in) the business and/or family assets.

Successful process directors opt for an advisory approach that puts the family as a whole at the center. In each case, they follow a four-stage process: connecting the people involved, exploring the issue and the process route, delving into the possible options, and finally obtaining everyone’s commitment to the chosen option. The Three Circle Model

In family businesses, you can be a family member, an owner and/or employed in the business. With the Three Circle Model you make visible which hats all persons involved are wearing. With this you can help to bring order into the mutual relationships so that the mutual communication runs better. After all, in the vast majority of cases, that is where it all starts. The Three Circle Model is a very effective way to promote awareness among clients. Using the Three Circle Model you can more easily get the people involved at the table, identify emotionally charged dilemmas and make them negotiable.

 

 

Overview in legal matters

The Legal Structure Diagram

With this tool it is possible to very efficiently create a legal structure that includes not only all legal entities and other legal bodies, but also governing bodies that have been created, such as an Advisory Board or Family Council. To this structure, information can then be added on the nature and extent of interests and other business relationships, such as loans, rents or management fees.

 

 

Generations in focus

The Genogram

The genogram is a representation of the family structure. With this tool, you build it very easily. Once it is in place, additional information can be added such as the nature of a long-term relationship, divorce, death or adoption. This makes it easy to understand how the family has developed through the generations.

 

 

Organizational structure outlined

The Orgchart

With this tool, you build the internal organizational structure with all its legal entities, business units and departments. You can very easily link all officers to this, so that it becomes clear who has which responsibilities.

Dynamic consulting process

The Scenario Planner

Situations change over time, bringing challenges to the family and the business. With the scenario manager you bring dynamics into your advisory process. Together with the client, you formulate which scenarios are conceivable for these changes and work out different phases for each scenario. Per phase it becomes clear what is changing, whether it is within the company or the family or both. All instruments are linked to the scenarios and phases, so that all changes are automatically reflected in all other intruments at once. All scenarios and phases can be commented on.

 

 

Everything in one place

The Document Manager

The Document Manager enables you to store all relevant documents and link them to the relevant persons, legal bodies and administrative bodies. Conveniently built filters help you see at a glance where gaps are, so you immediately know where to take action. This is made possible with an extensive library that allows you to label the documents. In doing so, you distinguish between documents of which there is only one in nature (such as a will or articles of incorporation) or of which a series is built up (such as minutes or annual reports). A more comprehensive and flexible vault to bring all documentation under one flag simply does not exist.

 

Track changes easily

The Logbook

With the logbook, you record the course of your relationship maintenance. It includes all forms of contact and other counseling efforts that occur in practice. Separately prepared records can be included as attachments. Each contact moment or other advisory effort can be linked to specific persons, legal bodies and administrative bodies in addition to the mainstream log, so that with flexible filters the course of an advisory process can also be retrieved in a very targeted manner.

 

 

Maintain an overview in relationships

The Comprehensive Overview

This tool is actually the home page of a relationship in which in one comprehensive overview it is clear which components make up the relationship in the categories of persons, legal entities (legal bodies) and administrative bodies. That alone offers added value! For each category a standard profile has been created in which information can be included that is not scenario dependent, i.e. not subject to change. All information stored through this tool is linked to all other tools so that this information only needs to be entered once for all kinds of different applications. It is very simple to add new components and modify existing ones.
