Managing Director
Jurgen Geerlings
“Contributing to ensuring that family business administration is applied in the most efficient and effective way possible in all disciplines within business services” is Jurgen’s mission. He deals with the conceptualization of the tools and monitors that they are well connected. With his many years of practical experience and many discussions with professionals from different fields during his consulting projects, lectures and courses, he knows which tools have proven themselves and what is going on in the market. This allows him and René to give the developers the right instructions to create tools that exactly match the practical needs of the consultant.

Managing Director
René Hol
René’s passion is to standardize and automate generic elements of professional services wherever possible while simultaneously gaining more focus on the client’s issue. The modeling of knowledge has kept him busy for years. This aligns perfectly with equimerio’s vision and goals. “Automated tools to support family business consulting is a wonderful challenge in diversity and consistency.” With his broad international experience, he wants to make the unique family business consultancy knowledge from Jurgen’s practice available to professionals at home and abroad. René is expressly concerned with monitoring the integral design choices within the software.

Lead Developer
Joël van der Kaaij
Joël graduated from the Master’s in Computer Science at the University of Twente and he specialises in Cyber Security. At equimerio, he works mainly as lead developer in order to properly carry out his role as product owner. Here, he pays close attention to the difficulty level of the tasks, and checks the security and stability of the toolset. ‘Working at equimerio gives me the freedom to apply learned techniques and best practices from practice directly in the application.’ Joel knows that the user’s (security) perception is a crucial success factor, and he monitors that the software is stable and up-to-date on an ongoing basis.

Backend Developer
Luuk Spelbos
Luuk graduated from the Business & IT bachelor’s programme at the University of Twente and is now pursuing his master’s there. Here, he can combine his passion for programming with business very well. In his master he learns a lot of information that he knows how to apply well in both his personal projects and equimerio. With his good communication and critical thinking, he ensures that the team can always work on nice features and is looking forward to developing this further within equimerio.

Frontend Developer
Tom Meulenkamp
Tom is currently a Master’s student in Computer Science at the University of Twente, specialising in the field of Software Technology. As a developer at equimerio, he works on the algorithms that provide data visualisations, and processing. ‘At equimerio, I get the chance to use the knowledge I gained from my studies in a large software project, where I can make a difference for our users.’ Tom is particularly interested in the interconnections of the different components, which will allow the application to show more information to the user. ‘Especially with the help of additional analysis, we can show our users even more important information.’

Jr. Frontend Developer
Wouter Deen
Wouter Deen is studying Business Information Technology and is in the final year of his bachelor’s degree. Even before his studies, he knew for sure that later he wanted to do something where IT is linked to business. That is why this study was the logical choice. Outside his studies, he has long been involved in setting up and building software projects himself. ‘I would like to build a broad experience profile in different sectors and equimerio fits perfectly into that picture,’ he says. To gain valuable experience on the IT side, he works at equimerio as a programmer on the look and functionality of the application.
